You should be able to use BitLocker encryption, which is even better because it gives you more options to manage the encryption.
If you run the System Information tool on your Windows 10 Pro or Enterprise desktop and see several reasons for failure, don’t panic. In the right-hand pane you will see the Device Encryption Support item which will tell you whether your device supports encryption. The System Summary will be highlighted in the left-hand pane. If you are not sure that you can use device encryption, type System Information in the Windows search box and open the tool.
If device encryption isn’t available on your device, you can turn on the standard BitLocker encryption (not available on Windows 10 Home). When you enable device encryption, only authorized people can access data on your device.
